Software Engineer Intern

Role Description

As a Software Engineer Intern at Neurocell, you will contribute to the design, development, and testing of backend components that power production AI systems. You will assist in writing clean, maintainable code, implementing APIs and services, and collaborating with engineers to integrate AI models into secure, scalable systems. Daily tasks may include debugging and improving existing features, participating in code reviews, documenting technical work, and supporting deployment and monitoring processes. This is a remote internship role, offering the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers while working on real-world enterprise projects.

Qualifications

Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic systems concepts.

Practical experience or coursework in Software Development and Programming, with familiarity in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, or similar).

Understanding of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, web services, and working with databases or data storage solutions.

Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and ability to apply them to design and implementation tasks.

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment, collaborate effectively with distributed teams, and communicate clearly in writing and speech.

Interest in AI, machine learning, or data-intensive systems; prior exposure through courses, projects, or personal work is a plus.

Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and basic software development workflows; experience with cloud platforms or DevOps practices is beneficial.
