Associate Backend Developer – iOS & Android Applications

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services using

Python

.

Build and maintain

RESTful APIs

for iOS and Android applications.

Work with backend frameworks such as

FastAPI, Django, or Flask

.

Design and support backend architecture for mobile application features.

Integrate

cloud services, Firebase, payment gateways, and external APIs

.

Collaborate closely with

iOS and Android Developers

for API integration and feature delivery.

Design, maintain, and optimize

MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL

databases.

Write efficient database queries and support database performance and optimization.

Implement and maintain

authentication, data management, validation, and secure API communication

.

Debug and resolve backend and API issues affecting mobile applications.

Write

clean, scalable, maintainable, and testable code

.

Perform API testing and troubleshooting using

Postman

.

Maintain clear and up-to-date

API and technical documentation

.

Monitor backend services and troubleshoot performance or reliability issues.

Improve API response times, backend performance, scalability, and reliability.

Support backend changes and troubleshooting during mobile application releases.

Must-Have Technical Skills

Backend — Strong Priority

Strong Python programming skills.

Hands-on production experience with FastAPI.

Strong understanding of REST API development.

Experience building backend services consumed by mobile applications.

Understanding of authentication, validation, error handling, and API security.

Cloud — Strong Priority

Hands-on experience with GCP and/or Azure.

Experience deploying and managing backend applications in a cloud environment.

Familiarity with services such as GCP Cloud Run / Compute Engine / Cloud SQL or Azure App Service / Azure Functions / Azure Database services.

Understanding of cloud deployment, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Basic understanding of CI/CD and cloud-based deployments.

Database

Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.

Understanding of database design, indexing, queries, and optimization.

Tools & Development Practices

Hands-on experience with

Postman

for API testing.

Familiarity with

Git

and version control.

Basic understanding of

CI/CD

practices.

Ability to maintain API documentation.
