Backend Developer Intern

Responsibilities

• Design and build a database schema for a location-based public welfare application
• Build REST APIs for core app functionality, including profile data retrieval and a request-submission flow
• Implement location-based matching logic to connect users with the right service provider
• Write basic documentation for every module you build
• Meetings with Founder. Founder check-in meetings are for progress updates and prioritization, not technical guidance.

Required Skills

• Working knowledge of Node.js, Django, or Flask
• Basic SQL or Firebase/Firestore experience
• Familiarity with REST API design
• Git/GitHub workflow

Nice to Have:

• Experience with geolocation-based queries
• Exposure to cloud hosting (AWS/GCP/Render/Railway)
