BACKEND DEVELOPER

Job Description

Backend Development

Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express.js.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable REST APIs.

Implement business logic and backend functionalities for Bondsmart.

Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and production-ready code.

Debug and resolve backend issues and improve application performance.

Database Development

Work with PostgreSQL and SQL databases.

Write and optimize SQL queries for application requirements.

Design and maintain database tables, relationships, constraints, and indexes.

Work with database transactions and ensure data consistency.

API Integration & System Development

Integrate third-party APIs and external services.

Implement and handle webhooks and asynchronous processes.

Develop secure APIs with proper validation, authentication, authorization, and error handling.

Monitor and troubleshoot API and application-level issues.

Collaboration & Learning

Collaborate with frontend developers and other engineers through Git and GitHub.

Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

Contribute to the development of Bondsmart, our online bond trading platform

Skills And Knowledge

Strong understanding of JavaScript and Node.js.

Hands-on knowledge of js and REST APIs.

Good Knowledge of SQL databases.

Understanding of database design and transactions.

Good understanding of asynchronous programming and error handling.

Familiarity with Git and GitHub.

Basic understanding of AWS and cloud deployment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and teamwork.

Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and take ownership.
