Ecommerce Developer

Role Description

The Ecommerce Developer will work on a contract basis in a remote capacity, building and optimizing e-commerce websites and related digital experiences. Day-to-day tasks include developing and maintaining responsive front-end interfaces, integrating e-commerce platforms and payment gateways, and ensuring smooth user journeys from product discovery to checkout. The role involves collaborating with the creative and marketing teams to implement designs, improve site performance, and support campaign-specific landing pages. The Ecommerce Developer will also troubleshoot technical issues, perform regular updates, and contribute to best practices in web development and security.

Qualifications

Strong skills in E-Commerce platforms and workflows, including product catalog management, checkout optimization, and payment integration.

Proficiency in Responsive Web Design and Front-End Development to deliver mobile-first, user-friendly interfaces.

Experience with Software Development and Web Development, including modern frameworks, version control, and integration with third-party APIs.

Ability to collaborate with creative, marketing, and content teams to translate business goals into effective digital experiences.

Working knowledge of performance optimization, SEO best practices for e-commerce, and website analytics tools.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects in a remote contract setting.

Relevant experience in e-commerce or digital agencies; a portfolio demonstrating previous e-commerce projects is highly beneficial.
