As Software Test Automation Intern this role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software test automation, Python, Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and automated functional and regression testing while working on real-world engineering projects. The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals, an interest in software quality and automation, and a willingness to learn and work collaboratively with developers and senior test engineers.

How You'll Make An Impact

Design, develop, and execute automated test cases using Python

Develop and maintain BDD-based test scenarios using Behave

Execute functional and regression tests and analyze results

Identify, document, and support resolution of software defects

Investigate test failures and identify root causes

Update and maintain automation scripts

Collaborate with developers, senior testers, and engineering teams

Learn and apply best practices in testing and automation

What You Bring

Programming: Python 3.x

Test Automation: Selenium and automated functional and regression testing

BDD: Understanding of BDD and Behave framework

Software Fundamentals: OOP, Data Structures & Algorithms

Developer Tools: Git, GitHub, VS Code, Docker

APIs & Debugging: REST APIs, debugging and troubleshooting

Strong programming and problem-solving skills

Good understanding of Python fundamentals

Interest in software testing and automation

Basic understanding of REST APIs and debugging

Good communication and teamwork skills

Willingness to learn new technologies

Knowledge of C++ or Ruby is an added advantage

Basic knowledge of Ruby

Exposure to software development or test automation projects

Familiarity with CI/CD concepts

Education

Candidates should be pursuing the final year of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science & engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

The team partners closely with development, architecture, and product teams to enable high-quality engineering delivery through automation, standardization, and modern cloud-native practices.
