Junior Java Developer

Role Description

This is an on-site internship role for a Junior Java Developer based in the Pune Division. The Junior Java Developer will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based components that power DGLIDE’s operations platform. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and efficient code, contributing to microservices and Spring Framework–based services, debugging and resolving issues, and participating in code reviews under the guidance of senior engineers. The intern will collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement new features, support integration efforts, and improve application performance and reliability. The role also involves learning best practices in software development, documentation, and testing within a modern enterprise SaaS environment.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Programming and Java, with the ability to write clear, maintainable code.

Exposure to Software Development practices, including version control, debugging, and testing.

Understanding of Microservices architecture and its application in scalable systems.

Familiarity with Spring Framework or similar Java frameworks for building backend services.

Basic knowledge of RESTful APIs, relational databases, and SQL is beneficial.

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Ability to learn quickly, take feedback constructively, and collaborate in an on-site team environment.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality.
