Junior QA Engineer / Software Tester

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Good understanding of Software Testing and QA fundamentals. Understanding of SDLC and STLC.

Knowledge of different testing techniques and defect life cycle. Ability to write clear and structured test cases.

Basic understanding of REST APIs and API testing.

Familiarity with bug/task tracking tools such as Jira or similar tools. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Basic knowledge of automation testing.

Exposure to Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar tools. Basic programming/scripting knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript. Basic SQL/database knowledge.

Understanding of Git and CI/CD.

Experience testing Android/iOS applications.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer / Software Tester to join our technology team. The candidate will primarily be responsible for manual testing of web and mobile applications, identifying defects, validating requirements, and ensuring software quality before release.

Knowledge or hands-on experience with automation testing will be considered an added advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications. - Understand requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. - Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios, and checklists. - Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, and UI testing. - Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps. - Retest resolved issues and perform regression testing before releases. - Test APIs using tools such as Postman. - Validate application behavior across different browsers and devices. - Work closely with developers, Business Analysts, and Product teams to understand requirements and resolve issues. - Participate in sprint planning, testing activities, and release validation.
• Maintain QA documentation and test evidence. - Help improve overall testing processes and product quality.
