The Junior Software Engineer will support the development and maintenance of software solutions that power Pharma Business Outlook’s digital platforms and internal tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, participating in back-end web development tasks, debugging and resolving technical issues, and assisting in the implementation of new features under the guidance of senior engineers. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, contributing to code reviews, and helping improve system performance and reliability. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.
Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
Practical experience or coursework in Software Development and Programming using modern languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar).
Understanding of Back-End Web Development concepts such as APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to apply OOP principles to real-world problems.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Ability to work collaboratively in a team, follow coding standards, and learn from feedback.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new technologies.
Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic software development lifecycle concepts is beneficial.
