About the Role

You will work with developers and product managers to test Host360's cloud platform and contribute toautomation. Our automation approach is:

Go Backend → API & Integration Automation → Frontend E2E → CI/CD

You are not expected to know everything from day one. Strong testing fundamentals, logical thinking,and willingness to learn are more important.

##Key Responsibilities

Testing & Quality

Design and execute functional, exploratory, smoke, sanity, and regression tests.Validate features against requirements and acceptance criteria.

Identify positive, negative, and edge-case scenarios.

Test web application workflows across browsers and environments.

Report, reproduce, and retest defects using Jira.

API & Backend Automation

Test REST APIs using Postman and automation tools.

Validate status codes, request/response payloads, authentication, authorization, and errorhandling.

Build reusable API test cases and collections.

Contribute to automated testing of

Go backend services

.

Write integration tests for important backend workflows.

Validate interactions with databases, Redis, and cloud services.

Test RBAC, IAM, and multi-tenant access control.

Frontend E2E Automation

Contribute to E2E automation for the

Next.js/React frontend

using Playwright.

Automate critical customer journeys such as login, project creation, instance creation, andinstance lifecycle operations.

Maintain reliable and reusable automation scripts.

Release & CI/CD

Participate in sprint regression and release testing.

Perform pre-production and basic production validation.

Learn how automated tests run through CI/CD pipelines.

Analyze automation failures and CI logs.

##Required Skills (Must Have)

Understanding of

SDLC, STLC, functional and regression testing

.

Ability to write clear test cases and identify edge cases.

Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON, authentication, andauthorization.

Familiarity with

Postman

.

Basic programming knowledge in

Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java

.

Basic Git and Jira knowledge.

Good analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Strong willingness to learn automation and backend systems.

##Good to Have

Experience with

Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or API automation

.

Basic Go testing experience.

Basic SQL knowledge.

Understanding of Docker and CI/CD.

Basic understanding of cloud concepts such as VMs, networks, storage, IAM, and securitygroups.

Exposure to AWS, Azure, GCP, or OpenStack.
