Software Engineer- Android

Job Purpose

Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining native Android applications that support digital travel platforms and customer experiences. Focuses on building high-quality mobile features, integrating applications with backend services, optimizing performance, and delivering reliable solutions aligned with business and technical requirements. Contributes to the continuous enhancement of the Software Engineering function by developing secure, scalable, and user-friendly mobile applications while adhering to established development standards, security practices, and organizational procedures.

Key Result Responsibilities

Develop and maintain native Android application features using Kotlin to deliver seamless digital experiences for customers.

Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs and manage data handling, synchronization, and offline capabilities.

Ensure application performance, responsiveness, reliability, and overall user experience quality.

Develop and maintain unit tests while actively participating in code reviews and software quality improvement activities.

Support mobile application build, deployment, and release activities through Google Play and related release processes.

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)

Bachelors degree in IT Engineering,Computer Science,Information Technology or equivalent

Fluent in English Language

Work Experience

Fluent in English Language

Strong proficiency in Kotlin, including Android Jetpack and/or Jetpack Compose frameworks.

Experience with REST API integration and implementing the MVVM architectural pattern.

Proficient in using Android Studio and Git-based version control workflows.

Experience with unit testing practices and mobile application quality assurance.

Knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines and Flow for asynchronous programming.

Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes for mobile applications.

Knowledge of push notifications and deep linking implementation.

Experience developing applications within travel, airline, or e-commerce domains is preferred.

Proficient in MS Office.
