Software Engineer

The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that power the UNIPREP platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing back-end services and APIs, writing clean and efficient code, integrating databases, and troubleshooting technical issues. The role also involves collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to refine requirements, improve performance, and enhance platform reliability and security. The Software Engineer will contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of development practices. This is a full-time remote role.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.

Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).

Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including building APIs, working with databases, and integrating services.

Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their practical application in production systems.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.

Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and communicate effectively with a distributed team.

Experience with cloud platforms, security best practices, or scalable architectures is a plus.
