Role Overview

We are looking for a Zoho Developer – SDE-1 to develop, customize, and maintain

applications within the Zoho ecosystem (Zoho One), with a primary focus on Zoho CRM,

Creator, SalesIQ, and Desk.

The role involves developing business workflows, building automations, integrating Zoho

applications with external systems, supporting production deployments, and working with senior

developers and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

● Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain Deluge scripts for workflows,

approvals, notifications, and business process automation.

● Application Development: Customize and develop modules, forms, workflows,

functions, and applications in Zoho CRM and Zoho Creator.

● Conversational AI: Develop and configure Zobot chatbots and conversational

workflows using Zoho SalesIQ and Zoho Desk.

● System Integration: Develop integrations with third-party systems using REST APIs,

webhooks, OAuth, and standard integration mechanisms.

● Zoho Applications: Work with Zoho CRM, Creator, Books, Desk, Flow, and other

Zoho One applications as required.

● Marketplace & Extensions: Assist in developing and maintaining Zoho widgets,

extensions, and Marketplace integrations.

● Environment & Deployment: Support sandbox-to-production deployments,

configuration management, and environment setup.

● Data Management: Perform data imports, exports, validation, deduplication, and basic

data cleansing activities.

● Analytics & Reporting: Develop reports, dashboards, and custom views to support

business requirements.

● Testing & Debugging: Perform functional testing, troubleshoot issues, fix defects, and

ensure solutions meet functional and technical requirements.

● Documentation: Maintain technical documentation for scripts, integrations,

configurations, and implemented solutions.

● Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers, product/business teams, and

stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

● GenAI SDLC: Explore and apply GenAI capabilities to improve development,

automation, testing, documentation, and business workflows.

Required Skills

Core Zoho Expertise

● Hands-on experience with Zoho CRM and Zoho Creator.

● Good knowledge of Deluge scripting.

● Basic understanding of Zoho One ecosystem.

● Exposure to Zoho Flow, Zoho Books, and Zoho Desk.

● Basic experience with Zoho SalesIQ and Zobot/chatbot configuration.

Technical & Practical Skills

● API Integrations: Good understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and API-based

system integrations.

● Authentication: Understanding of OAuth and API authentication mechanisms.

● Web Fundamentals: Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

● Database: Basic understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.

● Debugging: Ability to troubleshoot scripts, integrations, workflows, and application

issues.

● Deployment: Basic understanding of production deployments, environment migration,

and release processes.

● GenAI: Awareness of GenAI tools and their application in software development and

business automation.

Good to Have

● Experience with Zoho Marketplace extensions/widgets.

● Experience integrating Zoho with external CRM, payment, ERP, or customer-support

systems.

● Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and software development lifecycle.

● Experience working with AI/GenAI-based automation.

● Understanding of microservices and API-based architectures.
